Sheriff: Driver flees after 2 crashes

AMBER TWP. — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two crashes that occurred early morning Sunday, July 26, involving the same driver who fled both scenes.

The first collision was a hit-and-run crash with another vehicle, with no injuries, on US-10-31 and Brye Road, in which the suspect fled the scene, according to MCSO. The suspect driver then crashed again into a ditch at US-10-31 and Stiles and fled on foot.

Friday, July 24, 2015:

– 12:04 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US-10 and US-31, Amber Twp.

– 10:04 p.m., a 63-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) following a traffic stop, Lakeshore Drive north of Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Twp.
