79th District Court arraignments include absconding bond, retail fraud, drug possession, child abuse

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court magistrate:

Felonies

Cress

– Thomas David Cress, Jr., 37, of 362 Riverside Dr., Battle Creek, was arrested July 17 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) a felony of absconding/forfeiting bond and second-offense habitual offender. In a separate file, he was arrested July 17 by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police (MSP) a felony of absconding/forfeiting bond and second-offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: July 29 at 3 p.m. Bail: $50,000/cash/surety.

Smith

– Calvin Rhea Smith, 33, of 7310 Progress Rd., Twin Lake, was arrested July 15 by MSP for felonies of first-degree retail fraud, conspiracy to commit first-degree retail fraud and third-offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: July 22 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $15,000/cash/surety.

Jason

– Kelly Marie Jason, 28, of 18615 Meier St., Roseville, was arrested July 14 by the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’, Enforcement Narcotics Team (SSCENT) for a felony of possession of narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams. Probable cause hearing: July 29 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $7,500/cash/surety.

Talmadge

– Jesse Donald Talmadge, 28, of 508 E. Danaher St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was arrested July 13 by SSCENT for felonies of possession of narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams and maintaining a drug house and a misdemeanor of possession of marijuana. Preliminary exam: July 29 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000/personal.

Johnson

– Jamus Joseph Johnson, 36, of 1008 N. William St., Ludington, was arrested July 13 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of third-degree child abuse, a misdemeanor of domestic violence and a third-offense habitual offender notice. Preliminary exam: July 29 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

Wabis

– James Ray Wabsis, 45, of 2239 E. Marrison Rd., Custer, was arrested July 11 by MSP for a felony of third-offense operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL) and a misdemeanor of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS). Preliminary exam: July 29 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Alexys Anne-Nicole Morris, 19, of 201 S. Rath Ave., Apt. 11, Ludington, was arrested July 10 by LPD for a misdemeanor of possession of marijuana. Pretrial: Aug. 3 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Juan Carrillo-Lopez, 45, of 5976 Third St., Ludington, was arrested July 12 by LPD for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Pretrial: Aug. 10 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Reenya Bilal-Clinton Burrell, 23, of 410 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 1, Ludington, was arrested July 15 by LPD for a misdemeanor of second-offense domestic violence. Pretrial: Aug. 3 at 2:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Jerri Lynn Falconer, 51, of 2619 N. Benson Rd., Fountain, was arrested July 15 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. Pretrial: Aug. 17 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Benjamin John Cooper, 26, of 2 Gate Hill Dr., The Woodlands, Texas, was arrested July 14 by LPD for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Pretrial: Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

– Joshua Delannie Hudson, 24, of 6629 Sally Ct., Flint, was arrested July 14 for a misdemeanor of DWLS. Pretrial: Aug. 10 at 11:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Raymond Harold Snay, Jr., of 881 E. Townline Rd., Free Soil, was arrested July 16 by MSP for a misdemeanor of failure to maintain security. Pretrial: Aug. 17 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Melissa Ann Daniels, 25, of 720 N. Rowe St., Ludington, was arrested July 15 by LPD for misdemeanors of reckless driving and failure to report an accident to fixtures. Pretrial: Aug. 10 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

– Adam Lee Passarelli, 26, no address listed, was arrested July 17 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of assault and battery. Pretrial: Aug. 3 at 3 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Beth Noelle Bradley, 42, of 1438 Betty Ave., Ludington, was arrested July 19 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Pretrial: Aug. 10 at 2:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.
