51st Circuit Court sentencings include prison term for meth lab convictions

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 51st Circuit Court:

Ramirez

Ramirez

– Alice Christine Ramirez, 43, of 6030 E. US-10, Custer, was found guilty May 6 of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine and operating/maintaining a lab involving methamphetamine. She was sentenced June 23 to two concurrent terms of a minimum of one year and six months to a maximum of 20 years in a Michigan Department of Corrections prison with credit for 158 days served in jail and $266 in fines and costs. One count of operating/maintaining a lab involving methamphetamine and two felony firearms counts were dismissed.

Wise

Wise

– William Leon Wise, 30, of 2130 N. 34th St., Fountain, was found guilty May 12 of delivery/manufacture of marijuana. He was sentenced June 23 to 270 days in jail with credit for one day served; serve four months up front/balance to be served at the court’s discretion; work release must meet Mason County Sheriff’s Office guidelines; two years probation; $498 in fines and costs; and driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted after 30 days.

Holden

– Lori Ann Holden, 36, of 915 E. Maple St., Apt. 2, Ludington, was found guilty May 15 of first-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced June 23 to 270 days in jail with credit for 63 days served; serve five months up/balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; $349.16 restitution, which is joint and several with co-defendant; and $498 in fines and costs.

Chamness_Joseph Otto– Joseph Otto Chamness, 39, of 510 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty May 12 of assault by strangulation. He was sentenced June 23 to one year in jail with credit for 195 days served; serve 10 months up front/balance to be served at the court’s discretion; three years probation; and $598 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense domestic violence was dismissed.
