PENTWATER — The 19th Annual Pentwater Start of Summer Party is set for Sunday, June 7, at 5 p.m. on Hancock Street in front of the village hall.

The event is free and open to the public. Hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be provided. People planning to attend are asked to bring a dish to share, such as an appetizer, salad, casserole or dessert.

The popular outdoor event will be on Hancock Street between Third and Fourth streets. That block of Hancock Street will be closed to traffic beginning at 3 p.m., and during the early evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs. The Pentwater Jazz Band will perform around 5 p.m. Following the jazz band, GoodMusicDJ.com will provide music.

Volunteers from the Lighthouse Lutheran Church will cook hot dogs. Pentwater business owners donate food and money for the successful event. Volunteers help set up tables in the street. For information, call the village office at 869-8301.
