79th District Court arraignments include strangulation, drug charges

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court Magistrate:

Felonies

– Scott Gale Vandevelde, 45, of 811 N. Washington Ave., Ludington, was arrested April 18 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of assault by strangulation and domestic violence. Probable cause hearing: April 29 at 3 p.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

– Christopher Lee Baysinger, 38, no address listed, was arrested April 13 by LPD for a felony of controlled substance delivery – schedule 4 and second-offense habitual offender. Preliminary exam: April 29 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Anthony Jay Greco, 46, of 506 N. Main St., Scottville, was arrested April 14 by the Scottville Police Department for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. Pretrial: May 11 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Ismael Lopez, 17, of 309 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was arrested April 14 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. Pretrial: April 27 at 3:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Christopher Patrick Kapala, 35, of 408 N. James St., Apt. 2F, Ludington, was arrested April 15 by LPD for a misdemeanor of assault and battery. Pretrial: May 4 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Michael Mason Durham, 25, of 512 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was arrested April 20 by LPD for a misdemeanor of third-degree retail fraud. Pretrial: May 11 at 2:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Michael Simon Haddad, 27, of 1194 Idlewild, was arrested April 20 by the MCSO for a misdemeanor of driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial May 4 at 11 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

– James Floyd Lewis, 44, of 5524 Guthrie, Baldwin, was arrested April 14 by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police (MSP) for a misdemeanor of DWLS. Pretrial: May 11 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.
