Ludington man arrested for hydrocodone delivery following SSCENT investigation

RIVERTON TWP. — A 22-year-old Ludington man was arrested by the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT) Wednesday, April 22, on an outstanding warrant for delivery/manufacture of less than 50 grams of hydrocodone, according to a SSCENT press release.

A  warrant was issued for the arrest of Jacob Matthew Howe following the investigation. SSCENT detectives located Howe in Mason County and called for assistance from the Mason County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies from the sheriff’s department arrested Howe on the warrant and lodged him in the Mason County Jail.

Howe was arraigned Thursday, April 23, in 79th District Court, and his bond was set at $5,000/10 percent.

Delivery/manufacture of less than 50 grams of hydrocodone is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine.
