VICTORY TWP. — A 20-year-old Scottville man is facing life in prison for the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl last summer.

Sebastian Allen-Leroy Chandler, 20, of 153 N. Ivan Rd., Victory Twp., was arrested March 18 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on two felony counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) or rape – under 13/defendant over 17; one felony count of accosting children for immoral purposes; and one felony count of possessing child sexually abusive material.

Chandler is scheduled to appear in 79th District Court for a probable cause hearing Tuesday, April 1, at 1:15 a.m. His bail was set at $50,000 cash/surety.

The incident was reported Aug. 4, 2014, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. Chandler lived at the victim’s Victory Township residence and is a non-family member, the sheriff said.
