GRANT TWP. — A 53-year-old Ludington man was arrested by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police Tuesday, March 3, at 8:24 p.m. on a fugitive warrant in the 3000 block of Dennis Road. The man was wanted on a charge of failure to pay child support for being just under $3,000 in arrears, police said.

Deputies from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to an attempted fraud complaint Tuesday at noon in the 4900 block of Decker Road in Hamlin Township. “A subject attempted to purchase an item from complainant via craigslist by attempting to pass a fraudulent check,” Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole said.
