LUDINGTON — Alex Christian Jobbins-Ortiz, 19, of Ludington, pleaded guilty in 51st Circuit Court today for home invasion. He was arrested on Dec. 8, 2014 by Ludington Police Department and charged with first degree home invasion of a home in the 700 block of East Filer Street, punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and conspiracy to commit first degree home invasion, also punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Jobbins-Ortiz accepted a plea agreement by Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola which drops the first two counts and adds a third count of home invasion second degree.

Gilberto Miguel Colon, 18, was also involved in the crime and pleaded earlier in the day. See related story here.

Jobbins-Ortiz faces one year in jail, serving 10 months up front. He will be sentenced on April 21 at 2:45 p.m.
