Deputies busy with 8 crashes over the holiday

mcso_cruiser_k9LUDINGTON — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to eight separate crashes over the New Year’s holiday, and only minor injuries were reported in one accident.

The following is recent MCSO activity:

Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014:

– 8:37 a.m., stolen 1997 Rettig Enter 20-foot trailer, 3600 block of N. US-31, Sherman Twp.

– 11:11 a.m., two-vehicle broadside crash, no injuries, Rasmussen and Jebavy, Pere

Marquette Twp.

– 4 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Masten and Anthony, Logan Twp.

– 6:31 p.m., verbal domestic, High Street, Village of Custer, case closed.

– 11:30 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Conrad and US-31 overpass, Amber Twp.

Thursday, Jan. 1, 2014:

– 4:23 a.m., a 22-year-old Ludington man was arrested following a traffic stop for operating while intoxicated, US-10 and Jackson, PM Twp.

– 12:43 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Scottville and Chauvez, Riverton Twp.

– 1:12 p.m., peacekeeping, 5300 block of Hesslund, PM Twp.

– 1:38 p.m., two-vehicle crash, minor injuries, US-10 west of Stiles, Amber Twp.

– 2:18 p.m., two-vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, US-10 and Stiles, Amber Twp.

– 3:32 p.m., vehicle vs. tree crash, no injuries, Iris and Inman, PM Twp.

– 8:35 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Lincoln and Dewey, Hamlin Twp.
