Suspected Walmart shoplifters flee, 1 captured.

mcso_cruiser_k9PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Stolen property valued at $1,546.98 was recovered in the woods and along the roadside near Walmart shortly after 3 a.m. Friday by Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies after responding to a retail fraud involving “multiple subjects,” a sheriff’s report states.

“Subjects fled on foot, and one subject was captured,” according to Sheriff Kim Cole. A 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested, and warrants will be requested for the others involved.

– 2:02 a.m., a 47-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for no ops/never applied following a traffic stop at Pere Marquette Hwy. and Sixth St., PM Twp.

– 7:50 a.m, car/deer crash, no injuries, Campbell and Millerton roads, Sheridan Twp.

– 3:13 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, US-31 and Hoague Rd., Grant Twp.

– 4:12 p.m., two-vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, US-10 and Wildwood Ave., Amber Twp.

– 6:30 p.m., alarm activation, 5800 W. US-10, PM Twp.

– 6:33 p.m., damaged property – vehicle mirror, 5800 block of W. US-10, PM Twp.,15- year-old Branch juvenile and 16-year-old Ludington juvenile were cited in juvenile court following an investigation.
