November 21, 2014

Michigan_state_policePERE MARQUETTE TWP. — The Michigan State Police Hart Post will be conducting an event to benefit the less fortunate in Mason and Oceana counties.  The theme for this event will be Stuff the Blue Goose.

The troopers of the MSP have traditionally referred to their patrol cars as a “blue goose.” The purpose of the campaign is to stuff patrol cars full of new toys, new clothing and non-perishable food.

The cars, along with troopers, will be at Wal-Mart, at the intersection of U.S. 10 and Meyers Rd., on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All of the items gathered will be turned over to the Salvation Army and Toys for Tots and

distributed to the families in need, in Mason and Oceana counties.
