VICTORY TWP. – Daniel Martin’s brand of insane magic, sarcastic improvisation, and exhilarating escapes will be front and center at the Center Stage Theater on the West Shore Community College campus, Thurs., Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m.

The one-night-only performance is sponsored by WSCC Student Senate and the college Performing Arts Series.

“Daniel Martin has quickly become one of the most in-demand entertainers in the nation,” says Dr. Rick Plummer, director of the arts series. “His performances consistently lead to standing ovations and record breaking crowds at theaters, universities and corporate events worldwide,” he adds.

“Phenomenal! One of the best acts I have ever seen in my 21 years of serving as an Activities Director,” says Montana State University. “To impress a room full of event planners is not easy…your show did just that,” claims Event Marketer Magazine. “Daniel Martin’s show was a laugh-out loud, jaw dropping performance that left us wanting more. It is a must see performance for all college campuses!”

Martin was recently awarded “Best Live Performer” by Campus Activities Magazine.  In addition, he was recognized as the top rated/best reviewed touring act in the country for the third year in a row.

His magic and standup have been featured on CBS, NBC, WGN, VH1, ESPN and at thousands of live events worldwide. He is hailed by his peers as one of the most creative acts touring today with some of the biggest names in entertainment frequently choosing Daniel to consult on their own live shows and TV projects.

At the early age of six, Martin’s grandparents tried to avert his newfound interest of pick-pocketing. They put his quick hands and devious nature to better uses by purchasing him a magic kit. It was love at first trick. He began doing shows for anyone that would watch.

At only 12 years old, he began performing shows professionally and continued doing so at some of the swankiest hotels, clubs and restaurants in Chicago.  It was there where he developed his style and performing chops with his innovative mix of deception and comedy.

After years of perfecting his live stage show he began touring the globe with his critically acclaimed “Magically Delicious” & “i Magish” tours.

Martin resides in Chicago, still owns his Fisher Price Magic Kit and now says he will only “occasionally pickpocket.”

Tickets for Daniel Martin may be reserved online, 24/7 at www.westshore.edu, or by calling the WSCC box office at 843-5507.
