Controlled substance, forgery among 51st Circuit Court sentencings.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced Tuesday, Oct. 7, in 51st Circuit Court:

– Lakeysha Camelle Cage, 31, of 1048 Amity, Muskegon, was found guilty Aug. 19 of forgery and habitual offender, third conviction. She was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 106 days served; serve eight months up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; and $448 in fines and costs. One count of uttering and publishing was dismissed. In a separate file, she was found guilty Aug. 19 of absconding/forfeiting bond. She was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 104 days served; serve eight months up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; $1,008 in restitution; and $448 in fines and costs. The sentences are concurrent, and she may serve her time in the Muskegon County Jail.

– Paul Jason Gerbers, 40, of 1266 E. Hawley Rd., Custer, was found guilty Aug. 25 of controlled substance, delivery/manufacture 5-45 kilograms, and habitual offender, second conviction. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 47 days served; serve six months forthwith with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; work release must meet MSCO requirements; two years probation; driver’s license suspended 150 days/restricted 30 days; and $648 in fines and costs. One count of felony firearms was dismissed.

– Chad Jason Miller, 44, of 404 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 19 of attempted larceny from a person and habitual offender, second conviction. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for two days served; serve nine months up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; and $648 in fines and costs. He must report Nov. 9. One count of larceny from a person was dismissed.

– Wesley Donald Hackert, 28, of 308 E. Court St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 19 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, second offense, and trespassing. He was sentenced to 330 days in jail with credit for 153 days served for one Count I and 30 days in jail with credit for 153 days served for Count II; serve 60 days forthwith (already served) with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; and $748 in fines, costs and restitution. The case is concurrent to his other file, in which he was found guilty Aug. 19 of larceny in a building and habitual offender, fourth conviction. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 108 days served; two years probation; and $398 in fines and costs. One count of first-degree home invasion was dismissed.
