4 sentenced in 51st Circuit Court this week.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 51st Circuit Court:

– William Joseph Handshoe, 20, (no address listed) pleaded guilty Aug. 12 to first-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC), under 13, and second-degree CSC, victim under 13/defendant over 17. He was sentenced Sept. 23 to a minimum of 10 years, six months to a maximum of 30 years in a Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) prison for the first count and a minimum of five years, 11 months to a maximum of 15 years with MDOC. The sentences run concurrent, and he was given credit for 110 days served in jail. He is also ordered to mandatory lifetime monitoring and ordered to pay $1,266 in fines and costs. Four counts of first-degree CSC, victim under 13/defendant over 17, were dismissed.

– Brian Keith Blackburn, 24, of 603 N. Delia St., Ludington, pleaded no contest Aug. 12 to OWI causing incapacitating injury; failure to stop at a personal injury accident causing serious injury; and assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. He was sentenced Sept. 23 to two MDOC prison terms of two years, six months to five years and one term of one year, four months to two years. All terms run concurrent, and he was given credit for 161 days served in jail. He was also ordered to pay $5,185 in restitution and $2,034 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer; controlled substance, possession of marijuana; and operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL), second offense, were dismissed.

– Audrey Anna Currran, 22, of 708 E. Foster St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Aug. 12 to larceny in building. She was sentenced Sept. 23 to 270 days in jail with credit for one day served; serve 30 days up front; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation; and $598 in fines and costs.

– Patrick Allen Shira, 21, of 504 E. Danaher St., Apt. 4, Ludington, pleaded guilty Aug. 12 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and domestic violence. He was sentenced Sept. 23 to 330 days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days in jail with credit for two days served; serve 30 days up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 90 days electronic monitoring; two years probation; and $698 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.
