LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Hillary Nicole Adams, 23, of 3581 45th St., Hamilton, Mich., pled no contest Aug. 26 to operating while impaired by liquor. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; $1,335 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP); no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests. Restitution is reserved. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed

– David Allen Bennett, 52, of 7222 E. Andes Ave., Fountain, was found guilty Sept. 3 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.

– Dylan Von Gordon, 19, of 630 S. State Rd., LaGrange, Ind., was found guilty Aug. 26 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $935 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

– Gene Robert Foster, 40, of 106 E. Pere Marquette, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 26 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $720 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs and drug tests. Driver’s license suspended 365 days/restricted 305 days.

– Michael Brandon Donahue, 31, of 1101 S. Washington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 26 of second-offense domestic violence. He was sentenced to 43 days in jail with credit for 43 days served; $600 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; one year discretionary jail for one year; must obtain substance abuse and anger management counseling; must complete the Hands Down Program; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs and drug tests.

– Daniel John Horowski, 31, of 920 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 26 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 10 days served; $600 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs and drug tests. Driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted 150 days.

– Matthew Clifford Guenther, 29, of 15190 Briarwood Dr., Grand Haven, was found guilty Aug. 26 of improper transfer of medical marijuana. He was sentenced to $535 in fines and costs; 60 days discretionary jail for one year; and no controlled substances unless prescribed.

– Richard Dean Singleton, Jr., 39, of 177 N. Birch View Dr., Ludington, pleaded no contest Aug. 12 to false pretenses – less than $200. He was sentenced to $590 in fines and costs and must perform 20 hours of community service within 90 days. One count of weapons/pistols – false statement on concealed pistol permit was dismissed.

– David Niles Wilcoxson, 48, of 802 St. Paul St., Ludington, pled no contest Aug. 29 to disorderly person, public intoxication. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for eight days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; $285 in fines and costs; and must attend AA at least twice a week.

– Richard Scott Patrick, 22, of 504 E. Danaher St., Apt. 4, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 21 of DWLS. He was sentenced to $285 in fines and costs and can perform 15 hours of community service to receive credit for $150 of his fees.

– Andrew Jacob Smith, 29, of 306 E. Filer St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 21 of open intoxicant – passenger. He was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Gregory Andrew Kempisty, 33, of 8192 Linden Rd., Fenton, was found guilty Aug. 29 of alcohol ban – Cartier Park. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $235 in fines and costs. He was also found guilty of disorderly conduct – fighting and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $295 in fines and costs.

– David Darrell Duquette, 58, of 505 N. Washington Ave., Ludington, pled no contest Aug. 25 to disorderly person – public intoxication. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; and $125 in fines and costs.

– Dakota Wayne Moody, 17, of 4555 S. Ordway, Custer, was found guilty Aug. 28 to drove while unlicensed/never applied. He was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jeffrey Anthony Kapala, 28, of 2165 W. Hansen Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Aug. 26 of temporary registration plate misdemeanor and sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.

Dismissal

– Johnathon Edward Shafer, 17, of 210 N. Main St.,, Apt. B, Scottville, one count of controlled substance, possess of marijuana was dismissed Aug. 26. “The case is dismissed on the motion of the prosecutor with prejudice,” his court file states.
