LUDINGTON — The following was sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Gerald Dale Griffin, 51, of 3763 S. Pere Marquette Hwy, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 20 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to 19 days in jail with credit for 19 days served; must complete 90-day inpatient treatment program at Behavioral Rehab Services and must follow after-care requirements; $960 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests and drug tests; must attend Hands Down program and follow recommendations; may not possess any weapons; the weapon used in this matter must be forfeited; and no contact with victim. One count of assault with a dangerous weapon/felonious assault was dismissed.

Dismissals

– Lorie Lynn Klinger, 43, of 6586 E. Stolberg Rd., Fountain, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed Aug. 20. “Defendant pled guilty to a lesser charge per plea agreement,” court records state.

– Kenneth G. Simpson, 54, of 802 N. Rowe St., Ludington, one count of second-degree retail fraud was dismissed Aug. 20. “Defendant has entered into a prosecutor’s deferment agreement,” court records state.

– Nedra Mae Besson, 74, of 301 E. Court St., Apt. 201, Ludington, one count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed Aug. 20. “Defendant has entered into a prosecutor’s deferment agreement,” court records state.
