Ludington woman pinned in vehicle following Custer Rd crash

CUSTER TWP. — A 25-year-old Ludington woman was injured after her vehicle left the road and struck a tree on North Custer Road near Hansen Road Sunday morning around 6:30 a.m. The woman was pinned in the vehicle, requiring extrication tools to be used by Custer Fire Dept. personnel. She was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by Life EMS ambulance and then later transferred to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, who further stated that alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.

– 11:59 a.m.: Parking issues, 1200 block of East Lone Pine, Eden Twp.

– 12:50 p.m.: Two vehicle rear-end crash, minor injuries, Quarterline and Nurnberg roads, Grant Twp. Life EMS and Grant Fire and Rescue also responded.

– 3:47 p.m.: Alarm activation, 3200 block of West Hansen Road, Amber Twp.

– 7:55 p.m.: A 37-year-old Branch woman was arrested for driving while license suspended, second arrest, following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Budzynski Rd., Branch Twp.

– 3:49 p.m.: Power outage/lines down, Sherman and Curtwood roads, P.M. Twp. P.M. Fire Dept. also responded.

Aug. 17, 2014:
