BALDWIN — A 31-year-old Baldwin man is facing life in prison following his arrest Thursday on a five-count felony warrant for alleged sex crimes with underage females.

Bronson Lee Draper was the subject of an investigation conducted by troopers of the Hart post of the Michigan State Police.

Draper is lodged in the Lake County Jail and has been arraigned on two counts of criminal sexual conduct (CSC), first degree; one count of CSC with intent to commit sexual penetration; one count of CSC, second degree; and one count of surveilling an unclothed person, according to a press release issued by MSP Friday.

Troopers launched an investigation, July 13, after learning that Draper may have had sexual relations with several females under the age of 16. The investigation revealed that the crimes occurred over a three-year period.

After review by the Lake County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, the five-count warrant was issued by the Lake County Trial Court. Draper faces up to life imprisonment if convicted of the crimes. His bond is currently set at $100,000 cash or surety.
