New garbage pickup schedule in Scottville

SCOTTVILLE — Beginning July 1, Republic Services became the City of Scottville’s new waste hauler. City Manager Amy Williams reminds residents that the waste hauler has a different pickup schedule than the previous hauler and residents would have their trash and recycling out on the curb no later than 7 a.m. of waste haul day, which is Tuesday.

Trash should not be put out any sooner than 5 p.m. the night before. Residents must use city-labeled bags, which can be purchased from city hall or Wesco.

Compost bags will be picked up on Mondays. The bags can be purchased at city hall. Larger items must have special tags, purchased at city hall.
