79th District Court sentencings

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Steven Paul Rathburn, 49, of 174 N. Nelson Rd., Ludington, was found guilty June 30 of trespassing. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; not to enter Oceana Auto without permission of owner; and $265 in fines and costs.

– Shawn Michael Babcock, 36, of 104 E. Broadway, Scottville, was found guilty June 24 of failure to display a valid license. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $275 in fines and costs; and 30 days discretionary jail for six months. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Marvin Ray Germain, 42, of 64071 Fenton Rd., Lot J-1, Burton, Mich., was found guilty June 20 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Joseph Benjamin Terhaar, 28, of 3160 N. Amber Rd., Scottville, was found guilty June 17 of failure to report an accident. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $280 in fines and costs.

– Kevin Allen Martinchek, 28, of 4268 E. Hansen Rd., Custer, was found guilty June 9 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs.

– Mark Alan Mahoney, 42, of 1201 ½ S. Washington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty May 22 of improper registration, failure to transport and sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.

– Jeremy Steven Sides, 19, of 5932 N. Dennis Rd., Ludington, was found guilty June 3 of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP). He was sentenced to six months probation; no alcohol/drugs; and $335 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Colin Michael Gourley, 25, of 1700 55th Ter., SW 1, Naples, Fla., was found guilty June 3 of disorderly person. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs.

– Jeffery Allen Keller, Jr., 25, of 6586 W. Dewey Rd., Ludington, was found guilty June 2 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Alex Christain Jobbins-Ortiz, 19, of 1105 Lancer Lane, Lot 32, Ludington, was found guilty June 16 of DWLS. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jeffrey Scott Peterson, 36, of 405 3rd St., Ludington, was found guilty June 18 of disorderly person – urinating in public. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 30 days discretionary jail for one year year; and $285 in fines and costs.

Dismissal

– Yurianna Villanueva, 23, of 6451 Stiles Rd., Pentwater, one count of DWLS dismissed June 16. “The ends of justice do not require prosecution,” court records state.
