LUDINGTON — The woman charged in this week’s robbery of the Scottville Admiral gas station is currently serving another jail sentence.

See story on suspect’s arrest here.

On Jan. 28, 2014, Jaralee Chaloux Sobers, 30, of 412 Thornwild Dr., Apt. 2, Scottville, was found guilty in 79th District Court of the misdemeanor of second-degree retail fraud.

She had been arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 4, 2013. In January, Judge Pete Wadel sentenced Sobers to one year discretionary jail for two years, serving two days in jail with credit for two days served. Discretionary jail means the judge has the option to remand a person to incarceration for up to that entire time if the defendant violates the terms of the sentence.

Magistrate Patricia Baker said this morning she has not yet spoken with Judge Wadel about imposing further jail time on Sobers.
