Intoxicated men cause disturbances Tuesday

Two intoxicated individuals caused separate disturbances around Mason County Tuesday. The first incident occurred at the Meijer gas station at U.S. 10 and Brye Road in Amber Township. Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office were called there at 7:38 p.m. for an intoxicated man who entered the store and attempted to purchase alcohol. He created a disturbance when he was denied service. He was transported home by deputies.

The second situation occurred in the 5500 block of U.S. 10 in Pere Marquette Township. An intoxicated man was reported talking to customers about gangs and guns as they entered a business. He also was transported home by deputies after being called to the scene at 9:48 p.m.

Deputies also have requested an arrest warrant on a 27-year-old Fountain man Tuesday for possession of marijuana following a 7:31 a.m. traffic stop at Madison and Melendy streets in the City of Ludington.

Other activity of the MCSO for Tuesday, June 10 included:

– 2 p.m.: Motorist assist, 2700 block of North U.S. 31, Victory Twp.

– 8:20 p.m.: SIngle vehicle rollover crash, no injuries, Johnson and Stephens roads, Custer Twp.

– 10:46 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Hansen and Stephens roads, Custer Twp.
