Custer man arrested for domestic violence, tampering with electronic communications

CUSTER TWP. — Mason County sheriff deputies arrested a 37-year-old Custer man Monday morning for domestic violence and tampering with electronic communications. The arrest occurred at 6:02 a.m. in the 900 block of East Decker Road. The man was arrested after he fled the scene of the assault and was found hiding on the property in the woods east of the residence.

Other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office for Monday, June 2, 2014 included:

– 12:27 a.m.: Larceny of a cell phone, Wal-Mart store, 4800 block of West U.S. 10, Pere Marquette Twp.

– 11:09 a.m.: A 19-year-old Scottville man was arrested for domestic violence, 1300 block of Osborn Rd., Amber Twp.

– 11:34 a.m.: Single vehicle rollover crash, no injuries, Maneles and Masten roads, Sheridan Twp.

– 2:30 p.m.: Single vehicle crash with injuries, Jebavy Dr. and Fisher Rd., Hamlin Twp. See related story here.

– 6:34 p.m.: A 43-year-old Branch man was cited for driving while licence suspended first offense, Hansen and Benson roads, Branch Twp.

– 7:53 p.m.: A 28-year-old Ft. Meyers, Fla. man was arrested for DWLS, first arrest, following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Walhalla Rd., Branch Twp.

– 8:13 p.m.: A 21-year-old Custer man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Beryl Street in the City of Scottville.

– 9:39 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Dennis Rd., Amber Twp.

– 11 p.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, southbound U.S. 31 expressway and Meisenheimer Rd. overpass, Summit Twp.
