Ludington yard waste stickers on sale

LUDINGTON — The city’s waste hauler has begun to pick up yard waste each Monday and will continue to do so until the last Monday of November. Residents will be required to purchase a yard waste sticker at a cost of $65 at city hall.

Residents who purchased yard waste stickers last year should have received a letter from the city informing them that they can purchase stickers through the mail directly from Republic Services.

The city’s leaf corral on Bryant Road will be open on Saturdays from 1 to 5 p.m. until May 17. City residents, after showing proof of residency, may drop off leaves only at that location. No grass clippings or brush will be allowed. The city will not be providing curbside leaf pickup this spring. However residents may purchase yard waste bags at city hall for $2 per bag.
