LUDINGTON – The following were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:

–          Dean Alan Drake, 52, of 105 E. Tinkham Ave., Ludington, was found guilty April 11 of larceny less than $200 and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $580 in fines and costs or 58 hours of community service.

–          Georgia Rae Makowicki, 53, of 105 Fourth St., Ludington, was found guilty April 8 of third-degree retail fraud and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for two years and $580 in fines and costs.

–          Tonya Ann Johnson, 32, of 504 Fifth St., Ludington, was found guilty April 8 of second-degree retail fraud and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $608 in fines, costs and restitution; and one year discretionary jail for two years. One count of receiving and concealing stolen property over $200 was dismissed.

–          Brian Kelly Smith, 24, of 7171 E. Stolberg Rd., Fountain, was found guilty April of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; and $580 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

–          Paul Wayne Roberts, 39, of 6447 Linden St., Ludington, was found guilty April 8 of impaired driving and sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; Alcohol highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP). Conviction reportable to SOS.

–          Tony Michael Pouch, 66, of 2932 N. Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, was found guilty April 8 of impaired driving and sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of VIP. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–          Robin Jon Sarres, 56, of 706 N. Emily St., Ludington, was found guilty April of operating while impaired and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; $1,145 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of VIP; and no alcohol/drugs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–          Jason Paul Alltop, 36, of 4212 N. 120th Ave., Hart, was found guilty April 8 of larceny less than $200 and sentenced to $610 in fines, costs and restitution and 93 days discretionary jail for one year.

–          Harley Boone Sheldon, 19, of 4689 N. Sherman Rd., Ludington, was found guilty April 10 of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP), second offense and sentenced to $335 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–          Thomas Paul Mauer, 49, of 880 S. Meyers Rd., Ludington, was found guilty April 8 of operating while impaired and sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; $1,145 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of VIP. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–          Troy Douglas Henney, 29, of 7911 E. Navajo Tr., Branch, was found guilty April 8 of DWLS and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of open intoxicants in vehicle – driver was dismissed. In a separate case, he was found guilty of improper transport of medical marijuana and sentenced to $580 in fines and costs and 93 days discretionary jail for one year.

–          Eric William Carroll, 30, of 207 E. Second St., Scottville, was found guilty March 31 of DWLS and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $285 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and two months probation. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–          Steven James Ireland, 20, of 4859 N. Benson Rd., Fountain, was found guilty April 8 of failure to display a valid license and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–          Paul Joseph Desmet, 65, of 5902 Pleasant Ridge Rd., Ludington, was found guilty April 8 of operating while impaired and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; $1,145 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of VIP; no alcohol/drugs; and subject random preliminary breath tests.

–          Jake Gustave Soller, 23, of 6230 Bryant Rd., Ludington, was found guilty April 15 of disorderly person and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and no alcohol/drugs.

–          Michael Wayne Hurst, 38, of 210 N. Gaylord Ave., Apt. 3, Ludington, was found guilty April 8 of third-degree retail fraud and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Economic Crime Program; and $629.99 in fines, costs and restitution.

–          Charles Thomas Shafer, 55, of 1251 Esther St., Scottville, was found guilty April 15 of driving while license expired and ordered to complete 25 hours of community service. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissal

–          Jesse Allen Outwater, 29, of 804 Diana St., Ludington, one count of driver transporting open intoxicants in a motor vehicle was dismissed April 8.
