SCOTTVILLE — Scottville is in the process of expanding its police force. During the city commission meeting tonight a new part-time officer was sworn into duty. Daniel Jorissen of Pere Marquette Township is a recent graduate of West Shore Community College’s Law Enforcement Academy. This is Jorissen’s first position as a police officer since graduating from the program in 2013.

Jorissen will begin his field training Tuesday with Sgt. Jason Williams.
