5 arrested by deputies over weekend

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office made five separate arrests over the weekend, stemming from domestic violence, court violations and traffic-related incidents. The following is the activity report of the MCSO from Friday, Feb. 7 to Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014:

– 5:20 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Scottville and Meisenheimer roads, Eden Twp.

– 8:15 a.m.: Scam complaint, 900 block of West Hansen Road, Amber Twp. A resident was advised via mail he was the winner of a Wal-Mart/Target store drawing. Upon calling the store it was learned this is a scam.

– 8:27 a.m.: Two vehicle broadside crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Monroe St., Village of Custer.

– 8:52 a.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Dennis Rd., Amber Twp.

– 9:55 a.m.: Traffic hazard, 400 block of West U.S. 10, Amber Twp.

– 10:21 a.m.: Traffic hazard, 9200 block of North U.S. 31, Grant Twp.

– 1:24 p.m.: Gas drive off of $30, Airport EZ Mart, Pere Marquette Twp.

– 2 p.m.: Phone harassment, Pine View Court, Amber Twp. Case closed.

– 5:29 p.m.: A 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two outstanding warrants out of Mason County. The warrants were a friend of the court violation and a failure to appear in court violation.

– 7:24 p.m.: A 17-year-old Ludington woman was arrested at 147 S. Wildwood Court, Amber Twp., on a $1,500 failure to appear in court warrant on a minor in possession, third offense charge.

– 7:58 p.m.: Traffic hazard, U.S. 10 and U.S. 10 bypass, Amber Twp.

– 11:35 p.m.: Vehicle slide off, no damage/injuries, U.S. 10 and Main St., Village of Custer.

Feb. 8

– 12:05 a.m.: Assist to Scottville Police Department, City of Scottville, transport subject out of the city.

– 1:08 a.m.: A 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a $810 failure to appear warrant with a charge of assault and battery. The arrest happened following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Jackson Rd., Pere Marquette Twp.

– 10:12 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Anthony and Brye roads, Summit Twp.

– 4:30 p.m.: A 31-year-old Pentwater woman was arrested on a $1,180 bench warrant at the Mason/Oceana counties line, Summit Twp.

– 5:35 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Custer and Marrison roads, Eden Twp.

– 7 p.m.: Phone harassment, MCSO, City of Ludington, case closed.

Feb. 9

– 12:09 a.m.: Two vehicle broadside crash, no injuries, U.S. 10-31 and Stiles Rd., Amber Twp.

– 2:42 a.m.: A 27-year-old Scottville man was arrested in the 400 block of East U.S. 10, Custer Twp., following a domestic violence complaint. While responding deputies were advised the subject left on foot. He was found walking a short distance away and was arrested for domestic violence and a probation violation.

– 10:27 a.m.: Attempted breaking and entering, Thornwild Apartments, City of Scottville.

– 12:43 p.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, Stiles Rd. and Victory Dr., Victory Twp.

– 10:44 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Dr. and Dewey Rd., Hamlin Twp.
