Wind chill warning continues until morning

superior electric 250The area continues to be under a wind chill warning until 7 a.m. Wednesday. Wind chill readings tonight could reach -15 to -30. Snow is also expected with a possible accumulation of 1 to 2 inches with increased intensity through the evening. The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids reports that fine snowflakes will limit visibility to below half a mile at times. Blowing and drifting snow is possible, especially in open areas.

Tonight’s low temperature, 6 degrees F with a 60% chance of snow. Wind, west-southwest at 20 mph.

Wednesday, expect blustery snow showers with a high temperature of 18 F and wind chills approaching -10 F. Winds, west-southwest at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow, 60%. Wednesday night, 30% chance of snow with a low of 14.
