LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:

–          Travis John Gajewski, 21, of 35 W. Free Soil Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty Jan. 14 of selling fish; wildlife conservation part – taking deer/bear/turkeys; and using computers to commit a crime. He was sentenced to six days in jail; $2,500 in fines and costs; two 90-day discretionary jail sentences for two years and one sentence of one year discretionary jail for two years; no fishing license for three years; no hunting license for four years; and cross bow forfeited. One count of wildlife conservation part – taking deer/bear/turkeys; one count of sports fishing – buy/sell salmon eggs; and one count of hunting/fishing license part – obtain in violation of court were dismissed. In another file, he was found guilty Jan. 14 on two counts of weapons – firearms, purchase pistol without a license. He was sentenced to $580 in fines and costs; 30 days discretionary jail for two years; and must provide truthful testimony when called.
–          Jacob Andrew Padron, 25, of 300 Sherman Oaks, Apt. 303, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 9 of open intoxicants in a vehicle/passenger. He was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
–          Ronnie Lee Mallison, 43, of 9669 N. Darr Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty of excessive bait – over the legal limit and sentenced to $185 in fines and costs.
–          Nathan Owen Prince, 45, of 100 S. Wildwood Crossing, Apt. 7, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 2 of disorderly person – public intoxication. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $285 in fines and costs; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; and no alcohol/drugs.
–          Raquel Angela Lopez, 22, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apr. 7, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 9 of failure to display a valid license. Fines/costs suspended. Conviction reportable to the SOS.
–          Daniel Michael Dells, 31, of 4507 N. Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 13 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). He was sentenced to $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the SOS.
–          Gary Martin Ventrice, Jr., 32, of 4899 N. Ford Lake Rd., Fountain, was found guilty Jan. 13 of failure to report an accident. He was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and no alcohol/drugs.
–          Skip Roy-Ernest Lange, 18, of 502 2nd St., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 9 of DWLS. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; and $285 in fines and costs;30 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to the SOS.
–          Foster Lewis Mudget, 19, of 2688 E. VanBuren Rd., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 2 of failure to display a valid license. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $275 in fines and costs; and 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to the SOS.
–          Matthew David Weber, 23, of 5149 N. foster St., Fountain, pleaded no contest Jan. 8 to aggravated assault. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; no contact with victim; no contact with children under the age of 16 without adult supervision; and must register as a Tier One sex offender. One count of criminal sexual conduct (CSC), second degree (under 13, defendant 17) was dismissed.
Dismissals
–          Hayden Greiner Chapman, 19, of 721 E. Filer St., Ludington, one count of under 21 – purchase, consume and/or possess alcohol (MIP) was dismissed Jan. 13 .
–          Carlton Kurt Brower, 52, of 2131 W. US-10, Ludington, one count of DWLS was dismissed Jan. 10 per plea agreement.
