Cox to preside over first city council meeting tonight

LUDINGTON — Mayor Ryan Cox will preside over his first city council meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Ludington City Hall. The meeting’s agenda is fairly light, consisting mostly of committee and board appointments, the election of a mayor pro-tem and approvals of requests from the Downtown Ludington Board.

The Downtown Ludington Board is making its requests for this year’s events. They include:

St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Saturday, March 15

Ludington Farmers Market: Fridays from 3 to 8 p.m. May 9 through Sept. 26.

50s Weekend, June 6 through 8.

Friday Night Live: July 18, 25, Aug. 1 and 8 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Summer sidewalk sales, Aug. 1, 2 and 3.

October Fest: Saturday, Oct. 11.

Downtown Hallowwen, Oct. 25, 3 to 5 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Ball Drop.
