LANSING — State Rep. Ray Franz achieved a perfect attendance record for the 2013 legislative year.

The Onekama Republican, who represents Mason County, participated in every legislative session this past year, as well as in all hearings before committees he serves on.

“I take the responsibility of serving the people in the 101st District very seriously,” Franz said. “Residents sent me to Lansing to represent them and I am honored to be here on their behalf.”

Franz’ 2013 attendance keeps the lawmaker’s string of perfect voting record intact, with all 2,051 roll call votes taken since January 2011, according to MichiganVotes.com.

For the 2013-14 legislative session, Franz serves as vice chair of the House Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, vice chair on the House Education Committee, and is a member on the Energy and Technology, Local Government, and Michigan Competitiveness committees.
