MCC school board to discuss faculty staffing

November 25, 2013

SCOTTVILLE – Three teachers of accepted the Mason County Central Board of Education’s early retirment incentive, allowing the school to avoid faculty layoffs. Because of the three teachers accepting the retirements, there are now some vacancies beyond the staffing reduction of two teachers passed by the board at the Oct. 21 meeting.

During the regular school board meeting tonight, Superintendent Jeff Mount will discuss the situation with the board.

The board meets at 7 p.m. at the Upper Elementary library.
