VICTORY TWP.  – The West Shore Community College Performing Arts Series will feature The Verve Pipe in an all ages rock concert highlighting their hits from the early 1990’s – 2000’s, on Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m., in Ludington’s Peterson Auditorium.

Formed in East Lansing in the early 1990’s, The Verve Pipe has gained a worldwide following for their textured rock music and they are back and ready to reach a new generation with their family-friendly songs.

Remaining true to their roots while delivering music for all ages, The Verve Pipe released “A Family Album,” an original and energetic collection of guitar-based songs intended for the entire family with fun and inventive lyrics set to the memorable melodies the band is known for.

Critically acclaimed and selected by iTunes as one of the “Best of 2010,” the success of this album set the groundwork for the release of their newest children’s album, “Are We There Yet?” The group was also nominated for its annual best kids’ CD award by Nickelodeon Parents Connect for their release, “A Family Album,” with tunes about things like breakfast cereal and getting up in the morning.

With sales of three million albums worldwide, success on radio, TV and film, and sold-out concert dates throughout the world. The Verve Pipe is best recognized for its No. 1 single “The Freshmen” and their radio hits that included “Photograph,” “Hero,” “Happiness Is” and “Never Let You Down.”

The Verve Pipe currently tours throughout the U.S., featuring music from their two family albums and rock shows including appearances at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Festival, Hangout Music Festival, and Summer Stage in Central Park.

The band will also perform for the Ludington Area Schools first to third graders from Foster, Lakeview, and Franklin schools at 10 a.m. in Peterson Auditorium.

Tickets for this concert may be reserved online or by calling the WSCC box office at 843-5507.
