79th District Court sentences, as of Oct. 30, 2013

LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:

–         Ron Darcangelo, 50, of 4537 Ariel Dr., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 24 of excessive bait, over the legal limit and sentenced to $185 in fines and costs.
–         Adrian Stolecki, 21, of 40 King Arthur Crt., Apt. 17, Northlake, Ill., was found guilty Oct. 21 of swimming outside the swim zone, jumping off and was sentenced to $285 in fines and costs.
–         Kamicha Charisse Hawkins, 21, of PO Box 824, Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 24 of failure to display a valid license and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs.
–         Kevin Michael Hackert, 43, of 3122 S. Palmer Blvd., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 24 of disorderly person, jostling. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; and must complete counseling programs and report completion to court. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.
–         Benjamin Charles Wilsey, 43, of 1704 S. Lake Mitchell Dr., Cadillac, was found guilty Oct. 28 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $435 in fines and costs; and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.
Dismissals
–         Kevin Gerard Tammens, 54, of 711 E. Diana St., Ludington, one count of operating while intoxicated, third offense, and one count of DWLS, second offense were dismissed Oct. 30. Defendant passed away Oct. 24.
–         Anthony John Purgiel, 60, of 1385 Preston Ridge NW, Grand Rapids, one count of controlled substance possession (narcotic/cocaine) less than 25 grams was dismissed Oct. 15.
–         Richard Dean Singleton, 38, of 177 N. Birch View Dr., Ludington, one count of assault and battery was dismissed Oct. 28. Defendant entered into a prosecutor’s deferment agreement.
