LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 51st Circuit Court:

–          Morgan Marie Southern, 29, of 207 E. Danaher St., Ludington was found guilty Sept. 10 of controlled substance delivery, schedule 1, 2, 3. She was sentenced Oct. 15 to 90 days in jail with credit for three days served; serve 45 days up front with the balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation; and $1,643 in fines and costs. Sanctions reportable to the Michigan State Police (MSP), driver’s license suspended 30 days, restricted 150 days. One count of controlled substance, maintaining a drug house, was dismissed.
–          William Charles Jones, 34, of 304 S. Elm St., Scottville, was found guilty Dec. 20, 2010 of controlled substance, delivery less than 50 grams, and probation violation. He was sentenced Oct. 15 to one year in jail with credit for 284 days served; and $1,657 in fines and costs.
–          Christine Margaret Cota, 41, of 122 S. Wildwood Crossing, Apt. 20, Ludington, was found guiltySept. 10 of two counts of forgery and uttering and publishing. She was sentenced Oct. 15 to three concurrent sentences of 330 days in jail with credit for 82 days served; serve six months up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 12 months probation; and $1,551.88 in fines, costs and restitution. One count of forgery and two counts of uttering and publishing were dismissed.
–          Devehance Joqui Walker, 18, of 532 W. Hansen Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Sept. 10 of third-degree home invasion. He was sentenced Oct. 15 to one year in jail with credit for 132 days served; serve found months up front (already served) with the balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 24 months probation; and $498 in fines and costs. One count of third-degree home invasion was dismissed.
–          Eliseo Gonzalez, 31, of 205 E. Filer St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty Sept. 3 of two counts of capture/distribute image of an unclothed person. He was sentenced Oct. 15 to two terms of 330 days in jail with credit for two days served; serve 181 days up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; no contact with victim; work release authorized; 24 months probation; and $766 in fines and costs.
