79th District Court arraignments, as of Oct. 9, 2013

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned this week in front of the Mason County Magistrate in 79th District Court.
Felonies

– Sean Michael Phillips, 23, of MDOC, was arrested Oct. 4 by MCSO for a felony of homicide, open murder. A preliminary exam is set for Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. Bond denied.

– Joel Anthony Patterson, 27, of 104 Gay St., Scottville, was arrested Oct. 7 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for felonies of home invasion, first degree, and larceny $1,000 to under $20,000. A preliminary exam is set for Oct. 16 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $10,000/cash/surety.

– Christopher Joseph Watson, 30, of 703 Dowland St., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 7 by MCSO for felonies of home invasion, first degree; larceny $1,000 to under $20,000; DWLS, second offense; and habitual offender, fourth offense. A preliminary exam is set for Oct. 16 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $25,000/cash/surety.

– Danyel Rebecca Horsley, 25, of 143 N. Jebavy, Ludington, was arrested Oct. 3 by MCSO for a felony of obstruction of justice. A preliminary exam is set for Oct. 16 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000/personal.

– Albert James Brooks, 40, of 5243 Village Dr., SW, Wyoming, was arrested Oct. 1 by the Michigan State Police, Hart post (MSP-H) for a felony of controlled substance, possession of methamphetamines. A preliminary exam is set for Oct. 16 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $10,000/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Michael Arron Thomas, 18, of 5214 W. Tomahawk Tr., Baldwin, was arrested Oct. 10 by MSP-H for a misdemeanor of failure to maintain security. A pretrial is set for Oct. 28 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Lucas John Johnson, 20, of 1490 N. Victory Corners Rd., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 10 by MSP-H for a misdemeanor of controlled substance possession. A pretrial is set for Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Jaralee Chaloux Sobers, 30, of 412 Thornwild Dr., Apt. A2, Scottville, was arrested Oct. 4 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of second-degree retail fraud. A pretrial is set for Oct. 21 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Christopher Eugene Brown, 26, of 506 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, was arrested Oct. 6 by Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a misdemeanor of breaking and entering without permission. A pretrial is set for Oct. 28 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Shon Michael Gascoigne, 23, of 901 E. Maple St., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 6 by LPD for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. A pretrial is set for Oct. 28 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Joshua David Spore, 28, of 4292 N. Stiles Rd., Scottville, was arrested Oct. 5 by LPD for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. A pretrial is set for Nov. 4 at 9:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Brittany Leigh Hernandez, 24, of 405 Resseguie, Ludington, was arrested Oct. 6 by LPD for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated or under the influence. A pretrial is set for Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Levi Hunter Hamilton, no address listed, was arrested Oct. 1 by LPD for misdemeanors of third-degree retail fraud, minor in possession (MIP) and furnishing alcohol to minors. A pretrial is set for Oct. 14 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– David William Rood, , 50, of 7465 W. Log Rd., Mears, was arrested Oct. 3 by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Cadillac office, for a misdemeanor of retail fraud, second degree. A pretrial is set for Oct. 28 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety.

– Ruben Alexander Gomez, 18, of 112 Thornwild, Apt. B4, Scottville, was arrested by LPD for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. A pretrial is set for Oct. 12 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Samuel Delossantos, 66, of 5454 S. Brye Rd., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 3 by MSP-H for misdemeanors of failure to maintain security and improper use of a plate. A pretrial is set for Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Richard Zigmund Stepka, 24, of 2091 E. US-10, Custer, was arrested Oct. 3 by MSP-H for misdemeanors of failure to maintain security and improper use of a plate. A pretrial is set for Oct. 14 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Sean Jay Speer, 20, of 405 4th St., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 1 by LPD for a misdemeanor of DWLS. A pretrial is set for Oct. 14 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.
