Amber man accused of molesting children

LUDINGTON — Wayne Charles Lyle, 71, Wildwood Meadows, Amber Township, has been arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, on charges of criminal sexual conduct against four children.

The investigation began on September 5 following a report that was made that Lyle had been molesting four girls over the past several years. The girls’ ages range from 9 to 16. He was arraigned this afternoon in front of Mason County Magistrate Patricia Baker in the 79th District Court and was charged with CSC first degree, a crime punishable by up to life in prison and CSC second degree, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

He is being lodged at the Mason County Jail with a $25,000 cash bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary examination in District Court on Oct. 2 at 11:15 a.m.
