LUDINGTON — An Amber Township man has pleaded guilty to breaking into his mother's house and stealing a handgun from her bedroom. Jamie Lee Wolfinger, 20, of 842 N US-31, Scottville faces up to five years incarceration and a fine up to $2,500 for the felony firearms and four years incarceration and a fine of up to $5,000 for larceny of a building.

On Aug. 13, 2013, Wolfinger entered his mother's house, at the same address, through her bedroom window. Upon entering her room, he took a .22 caliber handgun. Wolfinger told the court he needed the money and sold the gun for $80. He didn't go through the bedroom door because it was locked, he said.

Wolfinger was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff's Office. He is scheduled for sentencing on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
