MANISTEE — Governor Rick Snyder will attend the funeral of Michigan State Police trooper Paul Butterfield, who was murdered Monday during a traffic stop.

The funeral service is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. on Sept. 14 at Manistee High School.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. in the gymnasium. Both the funeral and the visitation are open to the public.

A processional of emergency vehicles will travel from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office in Ludington to Manistee High School Saturday morning.
