Below are the Lake Michigan surface water temperatures and the weather conditions for Mason County and surrounding areas as of 11:30 a.m. today.

The area is currently under a beach hazard, which means conditions may be too dangerous for swimming. High wave action and dangerous swimming conditions are expected. Strong structural and longshore currents are also expected.

Lake Michigan water temperatures:

Stearns Park, Ludington: 68 degrees F

Ludington State Park: 68 degrees F

Summit Park: 68 degrees F

Charles Mears State Park, Pentwater: 68 degrees F

First Street Beach, Manistee: 68 degrees F

Little Sable Point: 68 degrees F

Ludington and Pentwater: Sunny with temperatures reaching 84 degrees F. Humidity: 60%; wind: southwest at 13 mph.

Scottville: Sunny with temperatures reaching 89 degrees F. Humidity: 40%; wind: west-southwest at 13 mph.
