LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:

–         Connie Sue Sirks, 64, of 3812 W. Pine View Court, Ludington, was found guilty Sept. 3 of operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; $1,145 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend Impact Weekend and follow requirements; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs). Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more was dismissed.
–         Kevin Bradley Stilwell, 26, of 217 Georgetown Parkway, Fenton, was found guilty Sept. 3 of impaired driving. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; $1,145 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) two times per week; and random PBTs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
–         Benjamin Michael Bentz, 29, of c/o of 403 S. Jefferson St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 27 of second-offense domestic violence. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; $580 in fines and costs; and order for no contact will be lifted.
–         Tina Ann Hailey, 32, of 308 E. Court St., Apt. 7, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 27 of second-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to 31 days in jail with credit for 31 days served; $580 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and subject to random drug tests.
–         Dylan James Hansen, 19, of 58 S. Madison Ave., Custer, was found guilty Aug. 27 of operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 38 days in jail with credit for 38 days served; $1,245 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random drug tests; subject to random PBTs; and no alcohol/drugs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more was dismissed.
–         Chad Heitz, 34, of 3677 S. Pere Marquette Highway, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 27 of operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 37 days in jail; jail term is concurrent with time imposed in another matter; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject random PBTs; must attend AA three times per week; and $1,245 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of transporting driver transporting open intoxicants in a motor vehicle was dismissed.
–         Lance Alan Zaverl, 27, of 1547 Stark Ave., NW, Wyoming, was found guilty Sept. 3 of carrying a concealed weapon (CCW) with a blood alcohol content .02-.08. He was sentenced to $280 in fines and costs; must have a substance evaluation and follow recommendations; concealed pistol license (CPL) will not be revoked; firearm ordered to be returned; and no alcohol/drugs.
–         William Graywolf Wilson, 21, of PO Box 69, Lanse, Mich., was found guilty Sept. 3 of operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of the Victims Impact Panel; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; outpatient treatment; and $1,245 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more was dismissed.
