AMBER TWP. — No one was seriously injured this afternoon when a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck rolled over on U.S. 10-31 east of Stiles Road. Witnesses said the 60-some-year-old driver was travelling at a high rate of speed, swerving in and out of traffic, when his vehicle left the roadway just past the intersection. The vehicle landed in a ditch, destroying part of a fence owned by Carter Lumber Co.

Witnesses said the man appeared quite angry after he crawled out of his truck. He was looked over by Life EMS paramedics but refused treatment. No one else was involved in the crash.

Michigan State Police, Mason County Sheriff’s Dept., Scottville Fire Dept. and Life EMS were on scene. Ludington Fire Dept. rescue unit was called but disregarded.
