LUDINGTON — The following proceedings took place this week in 79th District Court:

Sentences

  • Kenneth Larry Nickerson, 48, no address listed, was found guilty April 16 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to 93 days in jail and must not have any contact with victim for two years.
  • Phillip Russell Engelman, 20, of 5325 Archer Rd., Brethren, was found guilty April 18 of driving while license expired and was sentenced to fines and costs of $225.
  • Cody William Duggins, 27, of 6613 E. Borowski Rd., Fountain, was found guilty April 16 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); fines and costs totaling $1,145; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend Victims’ Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to Secretary of State.
  • Eric Lee Gilchrist, 33, of 3502 Westhaven Dr., Amarillo, Texas, was found guilty April 16 of impaired driving. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; fines and costs totaling $1,145; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year.
  • Dustin James Horn, 18, of 6954 U.S. 10, Fountain, was found guilty April 16 of selling prescription drugs. He was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; 58 hours community service within 90 days or pay $580 in fines and costs; and must obtain General Education Degree (GED).
  • Tony John Yeager, 30, of 914 Lawn Court, Muskegon, was found guilty April 16 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend Victims’ Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to Secretary of State.
  • Wayne Bradford Wheaton, 44, of 6867 E. U.S. 10, Fountain, was found guilty April 16 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; $580 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend Hands-Down Program and follow recommendations; and no alcohol/drugs. Another count of domestic violence was dismissed.
  • Suzanne Marie Tyndall, 51, of 6940 W. Jackson Rd., Ludington, pleaded no contest April 16 to embezzlement – agent or trustee. She was sentenced to $661 in fines, costs and restitution; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend Economic Crime Program.
  • Gary Lee Stauffer, 56, of 1040 E. Jebavy Dr., Ludington, was found guilty April 17 of aggravated assault/domestic assault. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $580 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) three times per week for six months; no alcohol/drugs; random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and no contact with victim. One count of criminal sexual conduct, third degree, force or coercion, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault), and one count of domestic violence were dismissed.
  • Stephen Mikel Farilamb, 19, of 4550 S. Darr Rd., Scottville, was found guilty April 18 of possession/take any non-game bird. He was sentenced to $325 fines and costs.

Dismissals

  • Corrie Lynn Cook, 35, of 711 N. Washington, Ludington, one count of misdemeanor prowling dismissed April 21.
  • Jennifer Jill Parrinello, 32, of 826 E. Filburn Rd., Scottville, one count of domestic violence dismissed by jury April 23.
  • Mary Ann Taylor, no address or date of birth listed, one count of assault dismissed April 23.
  • Benjamin Daniel Letts, 35, of 303 First St., Ludington, one count of domestic violence dismissed April 19.
