McCallum in his kidnapping trial

LUDINGTON — Mark McCallum, who was found guilty on March 1 of two counts of parental kidnapping, will be sentenced today in 51st Circuit Court. McCallum legally represented himself in the weeklong trial. The charges stemmed from the February 2012 abduction of his then 2-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. McCallum did not return the children to his estranged wife — as arranged and required — and instead took them to Key West.

McCallum also faces charges of embezzlement, auto theft and larceny. That trial begins on May 21.

Today’s sentencing is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.
