March 21, 2013

HART — Mason County Central High School Principal Brad Jacobs is one of four finalists for the position of superintendent of Hart Public Schools. Mlive.com has reported that Jacobs, along with Rick Heitmeyer, superintendent of Buckley Community Schools; Mona Shores principal Mark Platt and Breckenridge Community Schools superintendent Sean McNatt, are the four finalists. Heitmeyer is also a finalist for the Ludington superintendent position.

Jacobs is a 1986 graduate of Hart High School and worked for the school district before being hired as MCC High School student services director. He then replaced Jack Murchie as principal after Murchie retired four years ago. Members of the Hart board of education are expected to conduct a site visit at MCC, along with the schools of the other candidates.
