LUDINGTON – The following proceedings took place last week in 79th District Court.

–         Joshua Glen Heckman, 28, 2070 E. Sugar Grove Rd., Sherman Twp., was found guilty on March 12 for operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend alcohol highway safety education; pay fines/costs of $1,145; must attend Victim’s Impact Panel in April; must not have/buy/use alcohol/illicit drugs; must not violate any criminal laws and must comply with court sentence.

–         Joshua William Rohde, 25, 193 S. Gordon Rd., AmberTownship, was found guilty on March 12 for operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend alcohol highway safety education; pay fines/costs of $1,145; must attend Victim’s Impact Panel in April; must not have/buy/use alcohol/illicit drugs; must not violate any criminal laws and must comply with court sentence.

–         Tina Marie Miller 2582 E. Michigan St., Free Soil, was found guilty on March 12 of retail fraud second degree. She was sentenced to two days in jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend economic crime program; must not violate any criminal laws; must pay $740 in fines/costs.

–         David Lee Hokse, 25, 5621 140th Ave., Holland, was found guilty on March 12 for operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend alcohol highway safety education; pay fines/costs of $1,145; must attend Victim’s Impact Panel in April; must not have/buy/use alcohol/illicit drugs; must not violate any criminal laws and must comply with court sentence.

–         Alyxander Carl Smith, 19, 8190 N. Reed Rd., FreeSoilTownship, was found guilty on March 12 for retail fraud third degree. Sentence: 29 days jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must not violate any criminal laws; must pay $580 in fines/costs.

–         Joseph Ray Flores, 26, 2823 W. First St., Amber Twp., was found guilty on March 12 for driving while license suspended/revoked. Sentence: one day in jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; must not violate any criminal laws; must pay $580 in fines/costs.

–         Robert Leslie Dewey, 37, 3120 W. Hansen Rd., Amber Twp., was found guilty on March 14 for operating a snowmobile while driver’s license is suspended. He was ordered to pay $325 in fines/costs.

–         Kevin James Stickney, 29, PO Box 131, 2727 E. First St., Custer Twp., was found guilty on March 14 for improper vehicle registration. He was ordered to pay $175 in fines/costs.

–         Jesse John Trivisonno, 41, 3405 N. Tuttle Rd., Custer Twp., was found guilty on March 14 for operating an unregistered snowmobile. He was ordered to pay $185 in fines/costs.

–         Alexander James Grantland, 21, 2414 S. Scottville Rd., Scottville, was found guilty on March 7 for improper registration. He was ordered to pay $175 in fines/costs.

–         Jessica Marie Curtin, 23, 6109 S. Brye Rd., Ludington, was found guilty on March 11 for trespassing. She was ordered to pay $265 in fines/costs; is not allowed to enter Wal-Mart and must not violate any laws.

–         Shawn Richard Walker, 2955 E. Koenig Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty on March 7 for loss to livestock or poultry. He was ordered to $325 in fines/costs. He was also found guilty for allowing a dog to stray and was ordered to pay $165 in fines/costs.

–         Devehance Joqui Walker, 17, 532 W. Hansen Rd., Amber Twp., was found guilty on March 7 for minor smoking/using tobacco. Sentence: 19 hours community service in lieu of fines/costs; placed on probation until hours have been reported; must attend school every day and maintain good grades; must not violate any laws.

–         Stephen Andrew Lilly, 18, 802 St. Paul St., Ludington, was found guilty on March 7 for furnishing tobacco to minors. Sentence: 30 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend school everyday with no absences, tardies or disruptions in the school setting; must not violate any laws; $185 fines/costs.

–         Jose Romualdo Graciano, 24, 6687 Lake Rd., Mears, was found guilty on March 7 for driving while license not valid. He was ordered to pay $220 in fines/costs.

–         Christopher Lloyd Rosenow, 34, 451 N. Free Soil Rd., Free Soil Twp., was found guilty on March 12 for reckless driving and failure to stop after an accident. He was sentenced to 45 days in jail for each count; Count 1: 93 days discretionary jail for two years; Count 2: 90 days discretionary jail for two years; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; must not have/buy/use alcohol or illicit drugs; subject to random PBT’s at request of police; subject to random drug tests; must not violate laws; $930 in fines/costs. Dismissed counts: failure to stop after an accident; failure to report an accident. Mr. Rosenow was also found guilty on March 12 of domestic violence and sentenced to 45 days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; hand-down evaluation; must not have contact with victim; must not have/buy/use illicit drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBT’s by police; subject to random drug tests; must not violate any laws.

 

Dismissals

–         Bobby Earl Harris, 27, aggravated stalking, case dismissed on March 13.

–         Randy Joseph Bowman, 49, domestic violence, case dismissed on March 12.
