LUDINGTON — West Shore Bank has donated $15,000 towards the Communities Overcoming Violent Encounters (COVE) capital campaign, making the bank the first corporate donor and launching the public portion of COVE’s capital campaign. The goal of COVE’s capital campaign is to raise the funds necessary to build a new facility in Ludington that would replace the current 110-year old house that serves as the COVE shelter as well as a modular office building located one mile from the shelter.

“COVE is such an important organization in our community,” said President of West Shore Bank, Raymond Biggs. “Our goal of making a real difference in communities matches COVE’s mission. We’re honored to offer our support and encourage others to also support this campaign.”
COVE is a non-profit organization that empowers victims of violence in Mason, Lake, and Oceana counties. It has been in operation since 1979. Its mission is to provide shelter, protection and advocacy to victims of domestic and sexual violence and/or homelessness and to educate the community about the root causes of violence.  COVE is the only organization providing such services in the three-county area.
