Editor’s note: As MCP continues to grow, we are adding correspondents to our team. Yesterday we announced the addition of Lisa Enos to cover the county board and West Shore Community College’s board of trustees. We have also announced the addition of Allison Scarbrough who will be writing outdoor and recreation stories. I am pleased to announce another familiar person to the local media scene, Alan Neushwander.

Alan Neushwander has over 10 years of media experience. He began his career in radio broadcasting in 1998 at WCSJ/WJDK in Morris, Ill. Following two and a half years in Illinois, Alan began working in the newsroom at WMOM in Ludington, and also served as a news reporter at WHMI in Howell.

He most recently spent seven years as News Director for WKLA, WMTE and WKZC in Ludington. Alan graduated from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Southfield with a concentration in radio broadcasting and also has an associate’s degree in marketing from Baker College. He completed his internship at Westwood One’s Metro Source news wire service in Detroit.

Alan has won numerous awards from The Associated Press and Michigan Association of Broadcasters. He currently works in the marketing department at Memorial Medical Center in Ludington.

Alan will be covering the Ludington city council and Ludington Area Schools board of education along with breaking news.
