MCP is looking for help

Do you have a nose for news? Are you interested in what’s happening around your community? Can you write? The Mason County Press is looking for a stringer (or two) to cover some local government boards.

Applicants should have writing experience (journalism experience/education preferred) and a knowledge of local government. Preference will be given to applicants who are familiar with social networking and basic photography.

This is a very part-time position, two to three hours a week, with the likelihood of expanding. Most meetings will be evenings with some morning meetings. Must be reliable and consistent.
